Volunteering with the Apprenticeship Ambassador Network at the North East Ambition Careers Conference 2025.

On 27 June 2025, I was privileged to be part of the inspiring North East Ambition: Summer Regional Careers Conference, held at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead Hotel in the heart of the North East of England.
Representing the Apprenticeship Ambassador Network (#AAN), I spent the day volunteering at our stand, engaging with students, carers, educators, and employers about the power of apprenticeships to change lives.
🌟 Championing Apprenticeships, One Conversation at a Time
Throughout the day, I had the chance to speak with countless visitors eager to learn about:
- ✔️ What apprenticeships involve
- ✔️ How young people and adults can get started
- ✔️ Funding, training, and support options
- ✔️ How employers can get involved and support talent
It was rewarding to see so many carers, teachers, and learners open to exploring apprenticeships as a powerful route to career success.

Beyond volunteering at our stand, I joined insightful workshops hosted by the conference organisers — the North East Combined Authority. These sessions covered:

- 🎯 Support for young people with SEND
- 🎯 The future of digital and technical skills
- 🎯 Employer engagement in schools and colleges
Every workshop was a chance to learn, share experiences, and gain fresh perspectives to bring back to my own professional practice.
